One item that is not utilized as prominently on this site, and probably other spanking sites as well, is the tag feature. Most of this I think stems from readers not knowing what the tags actually do. Throughout my site I pretty much tag every post that I write, and the reason that I do so is to make it easy for readers to find their favorite topic. They basically act like a filter so that you can easily find what it is that you are really looking for. On the right side of my blog I display my tags for the convenience of my readers, and all you need to do is find the tag that best suits what you are looking for, move your cursor over it and voila, just click it and everything that you want is under that tag.

I try to keep it simple by not using too many tags as a whole, but I try to package them into simple areas. For example, for implements, perhaps the HAIRBRUSH is an important feature for you. Maybe you have a favorite model such as PIXIE for example, or perhaps you are like me and crave to see girls in NYLON PANTIES getting spanked?

July the 4th spanking sale!!

It is time to spread the love and point you in the direction of other spanking material that you might not be aware of,  or perhaps it is a while since you have visited. It always makes me really happy to send the love to other people,  so based on a promo email that I received I decided to take it upon myself to share the love.

A long time ago,  well before the days of the Internet,  us spankos had to search far and wide to get our spanking fix. These were the days where a simple image in a newspaper would stay in your personal collection for years. In the very early 1990’s,  and we are pretty much talking 1990 itself as the exact date,  we would visit our favorite adult shop that sold spanking merchandise to get our fix. In the late 1980’s you could actually start to get spanking specific material written for and by spankos.

In 1990 SCARLETT HILL ENTERTAINMENT started to produce their very own range of spanking material. I’m not sure which came first as I used to go to my favorite store,  Kinematics in New York primarily for NuWest and Shadowlane spanking videos,  but there was the collection of Scarlett Hill related magazines and the Good Old Fashioned spanking stories booklets that were around at that time. Like I said I don’t know who was first and to be honest with you,  I can’t even remember who produced the dozens of Good Old Spanking stories booklets that came out. (Just looked it up,  it was N.C. Publications)

Over the years I bought so many of these spanking magazines that I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many I once had. As the years went by and the Internet became prevalent,  the need for hard copies dwindled. However,  like any good company,  SCARLETT HILL ENTERTAINMENT moved with the times and started to add their collections online as digital downloads.

I’m Not Giving Up

Over the weekend I built an app for the community and I was a little stunned that in 48 hours it hasn’t been downloaded a single time. Now I’m not one to give out grandiose numbers regarding the amount of people that come to this website,  each day I get between 800-1000 visitors,  that’s it. Out of those visitors 20% come to the site via a mobile device,  though the number is actually much higher as Google Analytics doesn’t track Android users separately. So on any given day around 200 people visit my site on a mobile device, so I figured that an app would be an awesome tool for people to use. This isn’t something that I am giving up on though,  I intend to follow through and work even harder on this app. At least until someone wants to play a game of one-upmanship. 🙂

The prototype is already built and you can view it below. In fact if anyone would like to download it you will achieve two things. Firstly you would make me very happy,  and secondly it is always nice to get some type of feedback. Anyone can click the HTML5 box to view what the app looks like!! If it is downloaded,  the icon that appears on your phone is the head shot that you see of me,  though I am probably going to change that to an icon.

Here is what I have added since I started,  and what I think is going to be the key for success. If you have checked the link you will see that I added a links section,  and that I think is the most important piece. The app isn’t just about my blogs and my social network,  it is also a hub where you can get easy access to any spanking blog that you want to visit from your phone. The links listed were copied from my site so they go directly to the blog in question. Keep in mind that the product isn’t completely finished

The other piece that I have added and what I also think will help to make the app a big success is a folder called stories. Now this piece I think that I am going to expand a lot,  especially being that I don’t need the live chat so I can remove that and replace it with a folder for the stories of various authors. Right now I only have my own stories in the folder,  and knowing from my own stats,  people tend to flock to my site a lot to read stories.

I don’t want anyone to think that I am snaffling their work to make my own site more popular though. There was one time when a website asked for all of my stories to add to their site,  and while it made me feel a little uncomfortable to say it,  my response was pretty simple,  I wasn’t okay with it because I wanted people to come to my site to read my work,  not go to another website to see my work. So what I have prepared is a readymade HTML code to add the stories from people’s sites. So anyone who wants a story added will only be supplying a link to their own site.

As an example,  if you check the stories folder on my app and click on any one of them,  the link takes you directly to that story on my website,  not on the app. So with the various authors folder,  all it is going to contain is a link to your website and specifically the page where the story is. So far from taking traffic away from someone’s website,  it will actually be increasing traffic to their website.

So can anyone using a mobile phone go ahead and either click on the Native Android box or the HTML5 box and let me know your thoughts? Like I mentioned,  it isn’t anywhere close to being finished,  but it is live and it is working and ready to accept visitors.

It’s Love Our Lurkers Day

Bonnie from My Bottom Smarts has run this event for seven years now and I have never taken part in it. Now my reasons for never haven taken part in it were quite simplistic. Throughout the years I have had some wonderful correspondence with many people who have read something that I have written,  or have seen an old picture that I have posted that they remembered,  and perhaps most importantly the people who come up to me at parties to talk to me about the material that I bring to the spanking world. Of course there are some that have seen My Movies and they want to talk to me about them.

Now that is my motivation,  to reach some people on a level that they felt that they needed to get in touch with me. In regards to Love Our Lurkers,  to me,  it never seemed to be the way that I wanted people to get in touch with me,  by asking them to. I never had anything against it,  it just wasn’t the way that I felt was important to me.

So what changed this year?

To be honest,  not much at all. I still feel the same way as I always did and that is the joy that I get when I post something that compels people to want to write to me. Perhaps the one thing that changed is my stubbornness. I asked myself whether it was really that important not to take part in a community event based on what my feelings are.

So here we have it,  my chance to let my lurkers make themselves known if there is something on this site that makes them want to say something. At the bottom of this post you will see my sitemap and what I bring to the community. If you are new then feel free to look around. My biggest passion is to bring new material to the spanking world that has never been posted before. If you click through my picture folders you will see where a lot of material that you see posted elsewhere originated from. Every Wednesday and Sunday I post something new that has yet to be seen by 99% of the spanking community,  that is what my passion is and I spend a lot of time and money to do this.

Now this is my take on Love Our Lurkers and it is an old fashioned take. I’m going to moderate the comments. This is about the people out there who have never written before and who feel this is something that they want to make a comment on as a way of delurking. I’m moderating to avoid the trend of other bloggers doing the rounds just to say “Happy lol day”  so that their link is there for a click through. To me that isn’t what the spirit of this is about,  this is for the people who have never said anything but feel like they might want to contribute. I’m not going to be approving comments from other bloggers as that dilutes the numbers in a serious way as to how many comments this process actually generates.

So here is my sitemap below. If you are brand new here feel free to look around. This blog has been going for seven years now so there is a lot of material for you to go through. If you look for the folder called “Windsor’s Spanking Finds”  and all of the sub folders attached to it that is where most of my visitors go to. Of course there is a large portion that likes to see my personal pictures that I have taken over the years with some lovely play partners.

Sending Out The Love

It has been a while since I did a blog love post,  but as I have been working from home this week due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy,  I have had a little extra time to surf the Internet.

One site that I came across that I spent a lot of time on was Rollin’s site. Now as most of you are aware,  Rollin Hand’s stories aren’t something new,  in fact he has been writing for many years,  but this was the first time that I sat down to actually read some of the stories.

Now why did I like them you may ask? It’s quite simple really,  other than the fact that he is a tremendous writer,  his stories touched a level of comfort for me. A certain amount of innocence,  exploration,  and most importantly to me,  spankings described with the element of realism to them. Now while he is certainly a better writer than I am,  I felt that his stories were similar to mine in presentation. This particular story was perhaps my favorite out of all of those that I read.

So perhaps do yourselves a favor and pay his story site a visit. If you like spanking stories with a touch of the old fashioned to them,  it would be well worth a visit. There are no 6,000 stroke caning’s to be read about here,  just good old fashioned over the knee spankings and some really good paddling stories as well.

At the bottom of each post,  right next to where it says ‘Leave a comment’ you will always see a list of ‘tags’ for every post. This is what they do. As an example,  the most popular tag on this site is the one NYLON PANTIES. So let’s say that is your thing and a post features nylon panties,  if you go to the bottom of the post just look for the blue nylon panties tag. Once you click on it the entire website will be filtered and you will then only see the posts that I have done that feature nylon panties. Try a couple if you want,  here are the second and third most popular tags OTK and Vintage.

Finally,  at the top of the page underneath my banner you will see a variety of topics in blue,  just click on any of them as they all have content inside,  sometimes with stuff that isn’t on the site otherwise.

Aside from a few little trinkets to tinker with, the site that Missy and I have been working on over the last few months has been launched and is ready to go. Now we do have to finish off just a few small things and I want to get that done first, but on Friday I will be making a big post about the new network. There are a few blogs that I have to contact first for links and hopefully I will get that done tonight.

Now as I am on the subject of love though, I want to share something else with you.
