Shadowlane, The Little Horror, and Webmaster Madness.

My party ticket is in hand, it’s official, I’m going to Shadowlane’s 30th anniversary party this year!! After my last post I received several emails and notifications on various forums letting me know that a whole host of people I know are going. Hope to see you there and be sure to come up and say hi, I don’t bite (ain’t got no teeth to bite anyway :-)) and despite my rough exterior I am pretty friendly. Just don’t piss me off!!

Tomorrow I am going to make another post in regards to The Little Horror (my affectionate nickname for Pixie). As you all know, she is going to be doing her annual Cause for Paws charity event in a couple of months time, and along with Lily Anna and Juliet Valentina I have volunteered my services to help her out any way I can. I will fill you in more tomorrow, but I have volunteered to help coordinate the auction of spanking items. So with the resources that I have acquired, I will be reaching out to spanking vendors and try to round up as many items as I can that we can use to auction off for the charity, it should be a lot of fun.

This last part is for webmasters only, so for the most of you, you will probably want to stop reading now 🙂

In a short while I will be making a post regarding promoting websites using your blog, and as you all know I have been aggressively flogging Hot Movies for a long time now. Let me give you an idea of what I am talking about, right now I have 371 active members that have signed up to Hot Movies, which means any time that any of those members make a purchase, I get commission from the sale. Want to get an idea of the sales it is generating? As it stands right now I have made sales for 48 straight days!!! Here is a screen shot of June’s sales, and as you can see I earned enough money to pay for my Shadowlane ticket and pretty much my hotel room just from one month. That’s over $300 for June alone, and so far for July I have earned nearly $100.

We are talking stupid money here and if you don’t get on board you are missing out on a whole lot. Now you have to practice patience, you aren’t going to earn that amount in one month. The way Hot Movies works is that the more people you get to sign up, the better the sales get each month. It may take you six months to build a good network, but once you do you should be rolling in it. The best part of all of it is that you can market whatever you want. If you go to my SPANKING PICS site right now you will see that I have put a panty video up and created a few panty galleries as well to market some panty films. It’s Only Two Months Away

Not that this is world breaking news, but as it is only two months away I figured I would let you all know that I am planning on attending Shadowlane’s “Back to School 30th Anniversary Party”. Click the picture below for party details.



Now the only people that I know that are attending are the organizers of the Weekend, I seriously know of no one else who is going. Time for a roll call perhaps? With that said I will have my camera with me where I will probably make some videos, and without a shadow of a doubt I will conduct some interviews with people who want one done. That reminds me actually, I did get an email telling me that Spanking Sophie is attending, as is Danny Crighton. So if you want to do an interview with me just let me know. These videos are put on the Internet for free and can be used to promote whatever the interviewee’s want, they are not for any financial gain therefore I won’t be paying anything to the people I am interviewing :-). Thought it was worth putting that out there 😉 Should I make some spanking videos though, I will be paying the models I work with unless we do a video exchange for our own projects. I had been planning on going to the Crimson Moon party but in a nutshell I can’t afford to do both, so I will put Crimson Moon off until next year. Of course I will be able to unveil the all new Richard Windsor 2.0 at the 2010 party, which will be a minimum of 60lbs lighter than the 2008 version 😉 The 2.0 version was my original goal of 50lbs weight loss, and I can’t begin to tell you how close I am to that, I’m hoping within a week to have achieved that original goal. So with 8 weeks until the Shadowlane party I should manage to drop another 10lbs if all goes well. Of course I will keep you posted on how that goes and I hope to make my first announcement next week 😉

It Was 25 Years Ago Today!!

Twenty Five years ago today I first arrived in America on what was to become the biggest change in my life. June the 13th, 1985 my foot touched down in JFK airport on then on to the City itself to spend my first night in America at the YMCA. Now I didn’t actually emigrate to America until 1987, but I thought it was worth mentioning that 25 years ago today I first arrived. Want to know what I looked like then? Well, here you go.

And here is what I look like today, well, yesterday anyway as I joined a bunch of West Ham fans in watching the England game. Just a little less hair nowadays and quite a bit more pouch 😉

So on my current role of posting pics, let me give you a couple of firsts as well as a few more goodies. First up, the very first spanking pic that I was ever in. Yep, all I ever wanted was one pic for my private collection and I would have been happy. Who knew that 6 years later I would have probably a thousand that I am in. This pic of course features the first girl I ever met and spanked on the Internet, the one and only Pixie, before she was Pixie of course. This also happened to be one of the worst experiences I had on the Internet when the person known as Hapgood Baines took this pic, cropped my name out, and posted the pic as himself, claiming it to be him spanking his neighbor, Denise. As least he didn’t call Pixie Ethel or Gretchen as he normally does 🙂

Another first here, the very first pic I ever downloaded on the Internet, way back in 1995. No idea where it came from, no idea if it is part of a set, but I always kept it. Does anyone know the origin? Thanks to Tim powers I was informed that this pic is of Magdala Nikhaze from the old Castle Handyman site. Man do I wish I had more of those 🙂

Enough of the firsts, here is another recent Ebay find. Though it isn’t a high quality pic I just love it. I can imagine this is a 1950’s Mom giving her daughter her weekly maintenance spanking.

Now I don’t know how many times I have told you Webmasters, but no one seems to want to listen 🙂 So far this month I have had sales every day and it is currently averaging $10 a day, or $300 a month if you like!! Now while I can’t understand that people aren’t adding it, I don’t mind so much because each month my sales are just increasing and I believe they will continue to do so. This one affiliate pays me more than all of my other affiliates combined, and you wonder why I promote it so much. Speaking of which, I will soon make my own post regarding blogs promoting affiliate programs. I have read on several occasions the negative side of the story, so I intend to give you the positive side of things. I might even conduct my own poll, not one that is weighted towards my opinion, just a simple yes or no option as to whether or not readers mind promotional material. So to you webmasters, you should consider promoting this site, but don’t worry if you don’t, I will continue to be extremely happy being one of the few to reap the benefits of it 🙂

A Favorite Picture Set and a Hardline Stance (Universe)

The picture set below has always been a favorite of mine, especially the first pic. The first pic I would probably put in my top twenty of all time, it just reminds me so much of when I first started exploring my sexuality.

Anyway, I have constantly striven to make the Universe as globally acceptable as I could make it, but a couple of months ago I did something that I think has been counterproductive to the way the Universe has been running. A couple of months ago I opened up the Universe to all blogs, regardless of whether or not they linked back in to the Universe. It is my opinion that this has slowed the Universe down dramatically to a point that it is no longer updating itself. The traffic that is coming in compared to the traffic going out is so out of proportion that it is scary. After checking the stats just now, some blogs are getting as many as 1000 hits a month from the Universe, yet they have refused to link back in, so in effect they are taking the traffic of everyone else but are not willing to share their own, and in turn I think they are taking hits away from blogs that do link back in.

So here is what I am going to do. Over the next couple of days I am going to go through each link one by one, and if they do not wish to share their readers then I will delete their blogs from the list. Now I am able to see outgoing traffic so I will be able to see whether or not the blogs who actually do link in, get the increase in hits that they deserve. I tried really hard to open the Universe up to every spanking blog there is, but I think I over saturated the list to a point that it no longer updates automatically, so I think the fairest way to do this is to eliminate the blogs that didn’t wish to take part in the first place. Update, the deletions have already started, about 30 so far. By the end of the night, any blog that only gets hits from the Universe but gives none back will be gone by midnight. Hardline stance guys, I have to be fair to the individuals who have supported the Universe from the get go.

The Universe will of course remain open to any blog that wishes to be a part of it, but from now on the blog owners are going to have to chase me if they want their blog listed. I really didn’t want to have to do it this way, but I think to make things fair then the blogs that opted to share their readers should be rewarded. Like I said, some blogs are getting 1000 plus hits each month from the Universe, basically the from the readers of all the blogs who do share, and the bottom line is, that doesn’t seem very fair to me that blogs who opt to take part are in effect getting punished by doing so. The deletions will start today!! Now on to the picture set that I am sure you will enjoy as much as I did.

And I’m not just talking to my British readers who have a general election tomorrow!! Coincidentally, this year marks the first year that I am no longer eligible to send in an absentee ballot as I have passed the 15 year mark of being a registered absentee voter. Just as well really because I was undecided on my vote, it was either going to be Labour, or, should I have felt that the Tories were likely to win the seat that I voted on then I would have cast a tactical vote and voted for the Liberals’.

No, the main reason for this post is to ask you to go and vote on a poll that I am interested in seeing the results of. Bonnie, over at MY BOTTOM SMARTS, has created a poll asking readers for their opinions on ‘Advertising on Blogs’. So please click the highlighted link and head on over there to cast your vote.

It is an interesting topic and it is one that I have discussed on this very site several times. My feelings on the subject are as follows.

When I first started this blog I was completely unaware of the fact that money could be made from doing such a venture, however I was soon to discover that you could indeed supplement your income by using advertisements on the site. Now there are different levels to how one goes about using advertising, however I don’t think there is a right or a wrong way. It can pretty much go four ways and here is my opinion on those four directions.

Firstly, you have the spanking blogs that have zero advertising on them and that could be for one of two reasons. They have either made a conscious decision that they wish to keep their website clear of any ads whatsoever, or, they just simply do not know how to make money from their website nor understand how the affiliate programs work.

Secondly, you have websites such as this one that utilizes static banners to paysites in the sidebar as a way of gaining a little extra income. This may include an occasional post that has a link in it as well.

Third, you have the bloggers who started out as a regular blogger, however, once they realized that money could be made from their sites they slowly but surely became spam blogs, splogs as I call them. Every post is created purposefully with the goal of including as many links to affiliate programs as is humanly possible within that one post. The posts are actually disguises to promote the affiliate programs contained within the post itself. Now I don’t want it to sound that I am knocking that practice because I am not, the bottom line is that the reader is getting something spanking related and I would guess that they are completely unaware of the affiliate links contained within the post.

And finally, you have the spanking bloggers who seized on the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and actually created a network of different blogs where all they do is promote spanking affiliate material. Again, I am not criticizing, indeed, I am in fact one of those people who does this practice myself. My Spanking Films, Spanking Galleries and to a lesser degree, my Spanking Pics sites all fall into this category, they are used as promotional tools. The purpose of having those sites (and ones to come in the future) are to try and keep this main site as free as possible from spam/advertising.

The question is though, does it serve a purpose? In my honest opinion, yes, it very much serves a purpose. There are a lot of people in the spanking community who go to blogs to read about the person writing the blog itself. They are involved from a voyeur’s standpoint and clearly enjoy the variety of topics presented to them, whether they be visual, written, or even an emotional attachment to the blog in question. These readers find the blogs that they can most relate to and they keep coming back on a daily basis to see what is new that they can catch up on.

Now on the other side of that coin, you have what I call the Doonstar’s of this world. The people who for whatever reason they choose, whether that be that they are envious and cannot live vicariously through someone else, or if they are just visual creatures who choose to get their gratification by simply looking at pics and choosing not to expand their minds by listening to someone else’s opinion. Or even simply someone who is looking for that quick fix and they want to jack off, and the easiest way to do that is to find spanking material regardless of where they find it. This latter group are the ones who are most likely to appreciate spanking advertising.

We, as individuals, can decide what it is that we seek when we go looking for spanking material in the online world. That includes the people out there who haven’t found that yet and are still looking for it. I would take a guess right now that 50% of my readers come here for what I present to them, and the other 50% come here to see if I have anything to offer or are just passing through. They are looking for something and they don’t mind whether they are finding that on a free blog or on the promotional part of a paysite. Indeed I will say that 50% of the people who visit this site will read what I just said, and the other 50% will do a quick browse, see that there is nothing to interest them and will then click one of my links to go elsewhere. I understand that an awful lot of my readers come through here to listen to what I have to say and to see what I have posted, but there are just as many who couldn’t give two shit’s what I have to say, they are only coming here to see the free pics and videos (even those who come here specifically to rip off my content :-)) and if I don’t have any they move on to the next place. So if I can send them somewhere where I might make $10 out of it, then hell yeah I’m going to do that 😉

It is a site that over time builds and builds, this is my 4th month in a row where the minimum payout I have had for the month will be $170. Yes, with 10 days to go in April I am already up to $170, so this month the payout will be closer to $250. Think about it for a minute, if you aren’t using this affiliate you are missing out on good payouts each and every month that you don’t start using it. I won’t go nuts trying to convince you, just know that this one affiliate comes close to matching all of my other affiliates combined for the monthly payout, and I think it will get even better. Get on board early, otherwise you can let the rest of us early birds snag all of the potential customers on the Internet and you will be left picking for scraps. Do You Promote Affiliate Programs?

This is where I show some love to my fellow Webmasters who promote affiliate programs. Even if promoting website referral programs is something that you are considering, you should pay attention to this as it might just get you started.

For the last 5 months I have been promoting Movies On Demand and the payouts are insane. How long are you going to wait before you add it? Since I have started talking about it, more and more spanking blogs have been adding the affiliate program to their own sites. Here are my stats from this month alone, as you can see, I have had 51 new sign ups in February, in January I had 100 sign ups!!! With one day to go I have earned $172.74 for February (another $3.14 came in just as I was typing this post!!). When you combine that with the other affiliate programs, you can just imagine the extra pocket money, right?

I will lay it out to you as it is pretty simple, the quicker that you add this affiliate program to your list, the more chance that you have to build your own client list. It is a matter of getting on the ball early as I did. Right now I have over 300 clients that have signed up and are now mine whenever they make a purchase. How long will you wait before you add it? The longer you wait then the more clients people such as myself, and other spanking blogs that have already added this site, build in our profiles. Once we get them they are ours, and by waiting you are just allowing us to get more people signed up which could be in your list.

Seriously, think about it, let’s imagine that this site turns out to be one of the site of the future (which I personally believe that pay per view sites will become anyway), are you going to join up once everyone else has built 100’s of clients because they got on the ball early? You can see how much I am earning from it already, and I expect it to keep building as time goes on. The commission payouts look off putting because they are half what you get on other affiliate programs, but, just look at the data above, this site sells, and sells well!! There is no other single affiliate program that I am a part of that comes anywhere close to this type of payout per month, it is my BEST SELLING AFFILIATE PROGRAM, in fact give it another few months and I think this affiliate program will equal the payout per month of all the other sites combined.

What is the attraction? It is quite simple really, and it is why I have actually been a paid member of this site for 5 months myself now. It is instant gratification!! When the urge strikes the customer doesn’t have to wait for a film to arrive on their doorstep, or go looking for one on a daytrip somewhere, by that time the instant urge has probably gone and they go without. With this site the instant gratification is right there at their fingertips, and they get to pick and choose what they want to fulfill that urge INSTANTLY. Trust me, I know what I am talking about here because I spend my own money to get that instant gratification.

How long are you going to wait before you sign up? How many potential clients are going to sign up with other webmasters while you ponder your decision?
