As you can all tell from the state of my blogs, I have taken a little time off this past week to concentrate on a busy vanilla life. Now ordinarily, even if I am working and playing hard, I always take the time out of my schedule to give my readers a little something, even if it is just pictures. This week I got a little bee in my bonnet though having shared over the weekend a personal picture set with the gorgeous Sarah Rocks.
What was the bee in my bonnet? One lousy comment made on the post after I had shared a personal picture set!!! Now I’m not a comment whore by any means, in fact I don’t even take part in Bonnie’s ‘Love Our Lurkers’ day because of my personal belief that I don’t wish to ask my readers to comment. I try to emphasize that I don’t object whatsoever to the ‘Love Our Lurkers’ day, not in the least, I think it is a wonderful idea, I just prefer that when someone leaves a comment on this blog it is because my content was important enough for a reader to do so. Of course some would argue that the same applies to ‘Love Our Lurkers’, no reader HAS to leave a comment, they are commenting on ‘Love Our Lurkers’ because the content of the post moves them to do so.
Bottom line though, because I had a busy personal schedule this week, it did cross my mind that I should post something. Unfortunately however the little devil on my right shoulder got the better of me with his words “Screw them, nobody bothered (save for Tim) to show their appreciation for your picture set, let them wait until the weekend”
I’m an honest guy, perhaps a little too honest sometimes, so I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t bothered that nobody commented on my personal picture set. It is human nature, no matter how strong we are of mind and body, for little things to bother us from time to time. That was one that bothered me and as I am an honest guy I figured I would share that with you.
Anyway, WHINE over and done with, I will be back to full time posting this weekend with some great, make that FANTASTIC, rare picture sets for all of my blogs, plus an update on the direction of the Spanking Universe. As always, your honesty is refreshing, Rich. I would have felt the same way. In fact, I HAVE felt the same way. We bloggers love comments, there’s no lying about that. If we don’t have readers and comments, we might as well make the damn blogs private and just write to ourselves.
I think there’s been something in the air lately — summer doldrums, perhaps? The sites have been inactive and many blogs overall aren’t getting as many comments. Anyway, I have no excuse, since I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Sarah and I certainly could have commented on your pictures and post about playing with her, but I didn’t. My apologies.

Well…I must say I feel your disappointment at the lack of comments…it is my ass after all that was part of the subject matter….back to the gym for me, LOL!

I did see and appreciate your photo shoot with the lovely Sarah_Rocks. I could have and should have commented at the time, but I had places to see and people to do and who knows why, but I didn’t. However, I am here now to tell you that you both look great and the spanking looks like lovely fun.

It isn’t like me to even bother about comments so much, but you wouldn’t believe how many emails I had asking me to post the set. So with the graciousness of Sarah allowing them to be posted I did so, it was a rare time that I got down about the whole deal.

I could never have a complaint about you commenting because I would guess that you are my most frequent commenter, and I thank you for that 🙂 As for keeping my vanilla and fet lives separate, that is as much my choice as it is political correctness. Yes, I have been outed in the community, even so much as a scorned person notifying my Brother of my proclivities. I’m a real person and should we ever meet one day you would see that. Hey, at least I use my real first name 🙂

I re-read my post and spotted straight away that I used ‘Comment whore’ and followed it almost immediately with “Love our lurkers”. My sincere apologies for that as it was not intended, I should have waited a few sentences before plugging ‘Love our lurkers’ 😉
As I have stated in this reply, the main thing that ticked me off was that I had many requests to see the set, then was fortunate to get (at the time) one comment on the post. That was 5,000 visitors later and as Chross linked in on Saturday I have had an additional 5,000 visitors since then. Luckily I guiled some people in to making a comment 😉
Again, my apologies if you felt that comment was directed towards you, I can assure you that it wasn’t and I will be more than happy to promote your ‘Love our lurkers’ event again, just as I did last year.
