Had it not been for the need to put Wednesday in the title I could have easily titled this post “The Death of a Spanking Blog”!
Today I took a look at the stats for this blog for the first time in ages and I was stunned by what I saw. Back in October of 2022 I took a two week break and the blog never recovered from that.
While the numbers are never going to go back to what they were a dozen or so years ago, they had held steady for several years at around 600 visitors a day. At the end of October 2022 those numbers plummeted to half of what they once were, and now they are dripping in at under 300 views a day. Those numbers have held steady for the last 6 months, half of the number of daily visitors to what it was a year ago.
Obviously there are several contributing factors to this. I am no longer on any form of social media in a spanking sense, as in no Fetlife account and no spanking Twitter profile, so there is no medium for me to promote the blog. I do have a Twitter profile but it is now strictly vanilla.
Then we have to take into account that spanking blogs as a whole are slowly becoming a lost art form as people gravitate to other mediums for their spanking fix. That is something that I expected, but I will be honest with you, I didn’t expect a 50% drop in viewership almost overnight.
The final nail in the coffin so to speak is of my own doing. By far the most popular attraction to my spanking blog are the stories that I write, and I simply haven’t written anything new for nearly a year now. Perhaps that is the one area that I should focus on a little more?
The recent posting blitz that I have been on have increased the numbers slightly, pushing the daily visits back up to around the 300 mark, but it is still woefully short of what it once was. Don’t worry about what I am saying though, the blog is still going to be around for a long time to come. Even if it drops to 200 visits a day then that is still 200 people dropping by for some new spanking material for the community. That number alone I think is pretty decent and is still motivating to continue sharing my collection with you all.
Anyway, I was still able to find yet another dozen spanking pics yesterday, albeit poor quality ones. And for the Wednesday classic this week I am going to share a pic from the play “Man of Seventeen” which will be added to my VARIOUS SCHOOL PLAYS folder.
Just writing to tell you that as a lurker, I am (and I’m sure many others like me, are) very grateful to your blog and your contributions to the community.
On the topic of what brings traffic to this blog, I Googled your name after watching “Lunchtime Walk around Bryant Park in New York City.” I’ll admit it took some recalling to match the vanilla personality with the spanko celebrity, but here I am – one of those 300 grateful readers of today. ?

I agree with Far yak about spanking related material you are still the best.I also have to add that there are outside forces at work as well.Bonnie ‘s blog roll departing,Bloggers network now needing to sign in,Twitter under Musk has seen more spanking content blogs suspended and it is not worth fighting against,many blogs that did promote you are no longer around due to the same factors and also people running out of energy for the scene.it is my passion and I have had it for over 65 years so I do look every day,but even though I try to comment I do notice that there are few commenters as well to boost your numbers. Great find this week I always enjoy it plays and I thought this was outstanding.thanks for all you share and enjoy your day.

Thank you so much for your comment, it is always nice to hear from readers of the blog. Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere, even if I only got 100 visitors a day then it would still be worth it. I’m pretty sure that between 250-300 visitors a day is going to be the new norm now, which is still 10 visitors an hour so it isn’t bad 🙂 BTW, there is a reason that I don’t show my face on my Youtube channel, lol.

You raise an excellent point, one that I hadn’t considered at all, the sign in verification that Blogger now requires. Thankfully there is a tool available to measure visits from Blogger so as soon as I have finished responding to you I will take a look to see what impact it has had on my blog. This image was a substitute to the one that I was going to post this week, but being that I had a lot to say I didn’t want to waste the image as being lost in verbiage. I always appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, it does always give me a bit of encouragement to continue sharing. Just imagine if all of the readers of the blog said to themselves “I will leave one comment every month”, I would probably get 30 comments a day, lol.
