Apparently, not everybody thinks so 🙂

Okay, so last night I made a total nuisance of myself and I painstakingly went through the 150 blogs that had yet to link back into the SPANKING UNIVERSE, in a final attempt to try and get everyone to link back in. Now I got up to about 120 blogs and I finally gave in through sheer boredom, lol, however, I did start to get feedback from the people I was sending a message to on their blogs.

Everybody knows the goal that I am attempting so I don’t need to go through it again, but so far the feedback has been outstanding and a lot of people are stating that the new blog (which will only get bigger) is already sending them huge amounts of hits. Not everyone seems to be happy by this though 🙂

There were a few blogs that asked me to link in to them that I actually had to chase to add a link back, others have simply refused either the one or two requests that I have sent them. That’s all good as I believe in leading by example, if someone doesn’t wish to link back, or if someone decides to remove the link that they had up to richardwindsor.com, because I have somehow pissed them off with my request to improve their readership, then so be it. I will keep their links up for better or worse.

Some of the emails have been fun though, and I am expecting to get several more before we are done. Like I said, most people have been super friendly and very grateful for the increased traffic that they have been getting. Some bloggers though aren’t quite sure what the noise is all about. One person requested that the next time that I write to them, they would prefer that I send them an email and not leave a message that has nothing to do with the post that they made 🙂 (Would that be the post that 200 people from the SPANKING UNIVERSE just visited, who wouldn’t have known about it otherwise ;-))

Okay, so as I stated in the message that I posted on every one’s blog, copying and pasting the same message 150 times was a little rude and impersonal, I will buy that, I just guess I was hoping for a little leniency being that I am attempting to improve the readership of every one’s blog with this new venture. Don’t think it worked though, because I received an email today telling me that I sound pretty desperate promoting this new site 🙂

Just watch and see though, I have a feeling that people who have so far either ignored my request for a link exchange, or who have subsequently removed the link that they had up to my personal blog, once they see that the Universe works they will soon be asking me for a link.

Am I happy or sad? I’m really bloody happy because I love doing something that helps others. Not everyone will get it of course, but then again not everyone is a stat whore like I am 🙂 As time goes on I do believe that the people who are pissed at me right now for being intrusive, will come around and see that I am reaping no benefit from this new site at all. Oh yes, that was also claimed 🙂 Okay, so there are a few affiliate links up there, but no one is going there for them, they are going to the Universe to see which blogs have updated. Trust me, the amount of money that Hot Movies are paying me on richardwindsor.com wouldn’t ever be equalled should I start 50 new sites!!

So I am now done with posting about the SPANKING UNIVERSE, but I had to do it to get the site kick started so I offer no apologies for that. Before I go though, I do want to give a shout out to PIXIE for creating this fabulous icon that I was able to add to the spanking universe. Whenever you visit the site you will see this icon in the address bar, just like you can probably see my ugly mug in the address bar on this very page 🙂
