My newest purchase arrived today, the September 24th, 1963 edition of Look magazine. There is a slight problem with the magazine though, it is way too big for my scanner. I purchased the magazine for one reason only, to scan a better copy of the well known spanking pic of Will Mackenzie spanking Susan Creamer. Now the whole page doesn’t fit on my scanner but I got the spanking part of course. What I might do, for historical reference, is scan all pics of Susan Creamer from this magazine. I had hoped to scan a better copy of the pic, but realistically it isn’t that much clearer than the one circulating. BTW, I can scan two halves of the page for a monster copy if someone wants to take the time to make a primo version of the pic.
Here was a little bonus though, on the inside back cover of the magazine was this pic. Now I know it has been seen before, but hopefully the fresh scan I have made is of better quality. And just for the hell of it, I just put the magazine up against a copy of the New York Daily News and Look magazine is just slightly bigger than that 🙂

The late Susan Creamer (she passed away on June 16) went on to work under the name Susan Tyrrell and received an Oscar nomination in 1973 for a supporting role in “Fat City.”
I hadn’t seen the 7-up one before. Honestly, I’m not at all sure they’re trying to suggest a spanking since the “spanker” has his eyes covered! More like he’s looking at a terrible throw she’s made. Still, it’s fun to pretend – good find.
