Windsor Sunday Candid’s – 111

What is interesting here is that this article came out in 1940, three years after the formation of The Spanked Wives Club. There seems to be a little titillation in the commentary of the writer of this piece, who goes by the name of ‘Simple Sal’. For those interested in the finer details, the artist of the spanking drawings is Mollie Horseman. My guess is that the author read the story three years previously and it resonated with him. I understand that, there have been many stories over the years that have struck a chord with me that I will read them many times. In fact I dare say that some people have read my stories many times over.

Anyway, click on each image for the full sized version where you will be able to read the text clearly, both images are very big images. The main image will be added to my WINDSOR’S SPANKING FINDS album.

  1. Hi, I’m 59 and have never used Bisto. I attended a catering college when I was younger so I’m able to make gravy ets properly, like the pros, with just cornflower for thickening. It’s more trouble but you get out what you put in. A range of wooden spoons of various sizes is desirable to match the size of saucepan being used and tha quantity of sauce desired.

ps I’ve just realised that this comment can be read straight or with drollery in mind, Happy cooking.

  2. Colin,

Your stirring of the pot is something that I can totally relate to, I enjoy some clever prose that lets you think a bit 😉

  3. web-ed,

I found this article on an Australian newspaper archive called “Trove”. I am also in no doubt that there is a ‘Trove’ of cartoon spanking images still to find on there as the archive is deep.
