Windsor’s Sunday Candids – 52

Yesterday I delved into the possibility of sharing some videos this week in honor of my birthday tomorrow and then the Windsor Wednesday Classic number 100 on Wednesday. A problem occurred almost right away,  I’ve already given away hundreds upon hundreds of free videos,  so why was I making that the gift this week? If you think about it,  all of my regular readers would have already seen my videos for free based on past giveaways.

So what I am going to have to do is dig deep and find something a little extra special. So tomorrow I will post 53 pics of me spanking 53 girls,  that should be something unique,  and then on Wednesday I will try and grab half a dozen rarities if I can.

For today though,  we are going to go back to 1960 for the production of The Taming Of The Shrew in Central Park in New York. I’m afraid that I haven’t located the names of the actors yet,  but I will find them.

This will be added to my KISS ME KATE spanking folder.

  1. The actress observing the event is Barbara Barrie, perhaps best remembered as the mother in the movie “Breaking Away”.

I was unable to find a stage credit for her for ‘Kate’.

She was a repertory member of the American Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford for the 1958 and 1959 seasons. Could the play be “The Taming of the Shrew”?

  2. Thanks for the info, guys!!

Have you posted this pic already, Harry? If so let me know and I will link to whatever post it is on. Rich.

  3. Yes, that’s the production. Jane White played Kate in at least one more production, but did not get spanked that time. However, John Donovan Cannon also played Petruchio in another production, and *did* spank a different actress playing Kate.

No, Richard, you were the first to post this one, but thanks for the offer to link. There will be more Shrew from me later this year in the fullness of time, including a *very* interesting bit of stage history I ran across recently.

  4. Wow, I bow to the knowledge of the pair of you Warmhand and Harry, I would never have found that. As far as I got there was a troupe from Kentucky were performing The Taming Of The Shrew in Central Park, but clearly that was a wild goose chase.
