I had planned to make a post tonight, but my neighborhood was devastated by a traffic snarling storm today. I was on the bus for 3 hours and when we got to Fresh Pond Road in Middle Village I gave up and decided to walk the last 3 miles or so. Talk about devastation, practically every block had a tree downed and traffic was at a standstill. They are still determining whether or not it was a tornado, but just check the news for pics, it is unbelievable. Here is the New York Times report on the storm.
No idea how it is going to be getting to work tomorrow, on the one stretch of road that my communte takes I am going to guess that I saw 20 downed trees when I walked home tonight. Anyway, I will try again tomorrow night to make that post about spanking a vanilla 🙂

i just saw the story on yahoo.
i used to hang out in middle village. did a lot of shopping at the silver barn. a good store for a veggie.
i’m guessing at least an f2. from queens to park slope it wasn’t a downburst.
