But in this case I am going to make an exception though!!

Yesterday afternoon I fudged around with my google analytics code, and I am now able to view where my readers are going to after they have visited THE SPANKING UNIVERSE. Each week I am going to check to see how many hits people are getting from the Universe and I will adjust the site accordingly. Already I can see from some sites that have a viewable widget, that the Spanking Universe is already their top referrer for the last week.

Now then, I wonder if I can ask you guys for your feedback on the new site and whether or not it is a benefit to you. If you are a blog owner, is it increasing your hit count by a decent margin? And for the readers, are you finding yourselves using the site to keep up with the happenings that are going on in the spanking world?

It is rare that you will find me asking for people to comment, in fact I didn’t even join the love our lurkers day due to my own personal preferences. In this instance though, I would appreciate it if people took the time to give me a response, mainly because I want to see if my goal is working or not, and as a side note it will give me an opportunity to adjust as needed. As always on this blog, I expect honest replies, don’t ever have a fear of offending me with the written word, I would much rather get honest feedback, even if it is constructive.

Is the new Spanking Universe a benefit to you personally or not?

So on my end, I have found that every morning when I get into work, and every night when I get home, I head straight to the SPANKING UNIVERSE to check out who has updated and what they are posting about. It is almost obsessive really, as Cassandra Park just recently wrote about 🙂

Now then, I won’t be able to respond until tomorrow as I am going to a party tonight with a few SSC friends, but when I get home tomorrow I will make a post, and if it is anything like I am feeling right now, then it will be a good one. I feel a rant coming on, mostly about blogging etiquette, but also about respectful versus disrespectful actions within the spanking community. Was I just disrespected recently? Yeah, a little bit, and that normally kick starts the truth factory.

Some people may not like what I say all the time, but you can guarantee that it will be the truth as seen through my eyes 🙂

    The new site is certainly having an impact on my figures. I get about eighty visits a day and as I am new and unknown that is a great boon.
    As a reader I do use it too. I have found it has taken me to new places.

  5. It has changed how my stats look totally, even in the short time that it has been running. Instead of the steady up and down flow that I had before now the stats on the days that the posts go public are far higher than they where before and S.Universe tops the list in the “came from” section. On days that I do not post S.Universe goes well down in the “came from” section and my stats are well below my old numbers. I think that a lot of people that used to visit from other sources are now using S.Universe instead and being near the top of the list, when a post has just gone up, increases the visitor rate greatly. From the gently rippling effect that I had before, the stats bar chart now looks like the profile of a very interesting roller coaster ride. As to effect on over all visitor numbers, I will have to find time to have a look at the average over a period of time before I could tell the over all effect.

  6. Thank you for the feedback guys, I don’t want to go overboard so I have all the info that I need now…….. I’m not looking for an ego stroke or anything, lol 🙂 I just wanted to know that it was worth creating and obviously it was.

    Better late than never! Yes, definitely seeing more visitors to YEOWCH coming via your Spanking Universe page. Was averaging about 1100 uniques per day but that has increased quite a bit due to direct traffic from your listing. Thanksverymuch mate!!

    All you need now is a spankchatroom especially for bloggers to gather and muse on all things blogging and how best to promote their blogs lol.

    My hits have remained very steady, while I also do have a consistently high number from your site. I interpret that to mean that regular readers are accessing my blog via you rather than googling or through other places.

    Personally, I love having a site to go to that gives so many blogs with the current updates showing. I can’t get WordPress to do that on mine, and it is most convenient.

  9. Richard, while I do use your site a lot and have found a lot of good stuff through it, it seems to me that the page always loads slowly. Ditto for many of the pages that are linked to through it. Not sure exactly what’s going on, whether I’m seeing the results of ISP traffic shaping or what, but it is puzzling
