I’m going to have to take a break from the blog for the next two or three weeks so you will have to be content with the thousand plus posts in the archives. Last night I received the sad news that my Brother/best friend had sadly passed away within the last couple of days.

Right now I have no further information and I will be talking to the local police in the UK in a couple of hours time. We were the only family that we had left so once I wake up in the morning there is going to be a thousand and one things to do,  and doing it from across the ocean is just going to make things that much harder. His mates have been wonderful and I know that they are going to help me with the logistics of this,  and I will be flying to the UK in the near future to help finalize all of the details,  but I’m going to have to rely on his mates for a good chunk of it.

The two of us were two years apart and we have been incredibly close our whole lives,  and pretty much every year for the last 25 years he has come to America to stay with me. I don’t know what the details are just yet,  but he has been in ill health most of his life. I’m deeply saddened of course,  but I wouldn’t want him to suffer any more than he already has. I’m going to miss him deeply.
