Quite honestly guys, I’m on the verge of scrapping the idea and turning the Universe into a spanking hub. As of late I haven’t had the time to manually update the Universe, and as many of you would have seen the update log hasn’t been updating for as much as 4 days at a time. It has to do with traffic and to be blunt, the Universe isn’t getting anywhere near the traffic that it needs to update on a regular basis. There are many reasons for this, the primary one that I think of is that there are now many other update blogs other than the Universe, and quite frankly they are better than the Universe.
So what I have done in a last valiant attempt to kick start the Universe is to turn the front page into a picture site in the hopes that it will increase the traffic flow. As you all know, I have a vast collection of spanking pics, many of which would never see the light of day on my sites in a normal situation. However, someone always likes a spanking pic no matter what the situation is, so I can use the main page of the Universe to post these pics. What I am going to try and do is to update several times a day if need be, but whatever happens the site will collect 1000’s of spanking pics over time, just like my SPANKING PICS site. I’m also going to transfer my Spanking Galleries and Spanking Films sites to separate pages on the Universe. The current picture set that I uploaded to the Universe was pics from a 21st birthday set which feature the following young lady.

So, I take it that we will no longer be getting traffic from that site to our blogs. I was going to suggest that you put the link to page 6 at the top of the Universe home page. However, I didn’t realize that you had to update the page manually. Too bad. it was a nice try, and I DID get a reasonable amount of traffic from good ole TSU.

I’m not totally giving up, Hermione. First of all I will try sending more of my own traffic to the site, but I will also need to trim it down a lot as well. The blogs that haven’t updated for months are slowing it down, because when it is there turn, nothing updates therefore telling the program there is nothing new to report. If I trim the fat so to speak, then more people are likely to return to the site because the blogs that put the effort in will be pinged more frequently. In fact I will start to trim down any blog that hasn’t been updated for 3 months tonight when I get home, I have a feeling by cutting out the stagnant blogs then the regular blogs will increase the traffic as well.
(sigh) I hope you’ll be able to kickstart this site, Rich. I love it! I check it all the time and there are several good blogs I would have missed had it not been for this one-stop blog shop.
What makes the other update sites work? I’m not aware of them — yours is the only one I use.
Of course, you can’t go wrong with pictures — people love pictures. 🙂
Hi Erica, if only I didn’t get kicked off of Blogger 🙂 Their blog update program is awesome and as of yet I haven’t been able to find a copy of it online for general use. My guess is that one day someone is going to mimic it and all will be good, so it might be a bit rash to say the Universe is ending, what I am actually trying to do is look for ways of improving it.
