As you can probably tell from my lack of activity,  this week has been a pretty crazy one. My work environment is going though major changes which is resulting in major redundancies. I’m not sure how this is going to affect me by years end,  but right now the more redundancies that occur then the more work that I have to do,  so it is a bit of a double edged sword really.

On top of that I have been quite disappointed by what I have been reading this week and that has sapped my enthusiasm somewhat. There are just some things that I don’t understand. I don’t understand why it started in the first place,  nor why it continues. It is part of the reason that I booked my ticket to Crimson Moon this year.

Crimson Moon is a party that I have only been to once and for 99% of the time I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The 1% that I didn’t enjoy were the nasty comments that were made about me,  right in front of me,  though the individuals concerned had no idea that I was standing there,  one of whom I had never even met. It was a part of my focus that I changed this year,  the year that I turned 50. It was like a lightening bolt hit me as I set out to have the best year ever.

Don’t get me wrong,  it HAS been the best year for me so far in the spanking world,  I have memories from this year that I cherish. Mostly I was overjoyed with my demeanor,  I’m past the stage now where I will keep the common peace and ignore less than a complimentary view of me,  there are far too many good people out there who enjoy my company and in turn I enjoy their company. It doesn’t mean that it has all been successful,  I struggled a little bit at the Shadowlane party,  there was just one too many shitty comments made my way and I let it get to me a bit.

That was on me though,  nobody else. Only you can control how you handle yourself and how you present yourself to others. I went down on the canvas for a moment but I am back up ready for the final three months of the year.

Even though the Crimson Moon party is on the horizon we are also working on the upcoming Christmas party and yes,  we are also discussing ideas for next years party. Now I’m not elevating myself in any way,  at both of those parties I only make a contribution to some of the activities and I take on a couple of projects. At the Christmas party I am helping with the Friday night social evening and then on Saturday I will be hosting a hidden New York tour where I will take people to see places in New York that don’t always hit the tourist market. As an example,  would it interest you to see the window that a young Teddy Roosevelt sat in,  in 1845 to watch the funeral procession of Abraham Lincoln? It is just steps away from Union Square where Lincoln lay in state,  where 250,000 people gathered to support the Union in the civil war,  and where George Washington stood to greet citizens when the city was liberated from the British.

One day when I was working in the city I found out that in the building next to the one where I worked,  Tchaikovsky used to reside in there when he came to New York. I became hooked on little New York facts from that day forward 🙂

I’m also working with the organizers for a project that I am initiating for the weekend. It is going to be a school hour but rather than give anything away,  we will be posting about it on Fetlife this week. It is something that will get my butt back on Fetlife again as I have rarely been there for a month now. My enthusiasm for Fetlife waned dramatically and isn’t likely to return anytime soon.

Right,  over the years I have saved a bunch of spanking pics from the Czech film/play,  Postriziny. Now Valdor has one of these pics posted here that he posted in 2007,  but we seem to have different copies of the same pic. His captures more of the scenery whilst mine is more widescreen. It is the fourth pic,  the black and white one,  and my copy I recently found whilst doing a search. Hopefully this will add to his post. Most of these pics are captures from the film itself,  and I’m pretty sure that I have others on my back up drive somewhere. Obviously a girl getting a spanking on her silky white panties is going to grab my attention 🙂 Click on each pic for a much larger version of each.
