Windsor Wednesday Classic – 243

Here are two actors in the 1940s participating in a spanking skit that was spoofing musical comedies. This particular image I have had for a while now, but in the copy that I had the lady’s legs were cut out of the image. Well just today I found this larger version of the image. I will add this to my WINDSOR’S STAGE SPANKINGS album. This folder contains some awesome spanking images that I brought to the community, and in some instances I BOUGHT them as well πŸ™‚

I also found a brand spanking new Men Are Like Streetcars pic that I will share on Sunday.

P.S. The image is from California.

  1. That’s excellent, Rich. You’ve got to love a kicking leg in the classic OTK position!

  2. Theo,

I was fortunate enough to find a few old pics this week where you can clearly see the hand in motion, which is a major plus for vintage pics like these.

  3. This is an excellent photo on all counts; unfortunately, I cannot make out the fourth word in the background so the best translation I can come up with is “Work and (the) world with you workers”. All that “worker” stuff brings the German Nazi party immediately to mind (e.g. “Arbeit macht frei”), but it’s very unlikely that a Nazi satire would have come out of California in the 40’s (Ernst Lubitsch’s “To Be or not To Be” was produced by his own film company, not one of Hollywood’s). The costumes almost suggest a parody of “The King and I” but that show didn’t hit Broadway until 1951, so who knows?

  4. Web-ed,

This was a sketch that was part of a production entitled “One thing after another”. If memory serves me correct this was a continuous rotating series of sketches featuring one cast, with each actor playing multiple roles. I will dig up further information from the newspaper and share that with you because they had a big write up on the play.

    Rich
