This is very true; however, you can entice people in with an eye-catching cover. Yesterday I shared with you the new cover that I am using for my first book, and today I will show you the updated cover I am using for the second book.
As the weeks have gone on, I have noticed that the two books that are performing the best both have a common theme, and that common theme is that the spanking eBook covers are very simplistic in their design. They consist of just one person in front of a plain, single-colored background, or two people in the case of THE SPANKING NEIGHBOR. It is the old ‘less is more’ philosophy, something simple to catch the eye.
So here is the new cover on my second eBook, and much like the first eBook, I got a sale with the new book cover within 24 hours. Maybe I will try this approach with the latest book that I put out, BRITISH SPANKING. That latest book totally tanked, and I doubt if that book will have a follow-up.

Norma: “Hey Marge, I hear that Richard Windsor has a new spanking book coming out soon. Do you think that he will write about my cane?”
Marge: “Goodness no, Norma, I don’t think that he has ever written a fiction story about the cane. I do hear that he writes an awfully good OTK panty spanking story, though, and the new book is supposed to have lots of them in it.”
Two days ago I wrote 3,200 words towards the new spanking eBook, and yesterday I whacked out another 3,100 words. That brings the current total to 11,900 words. We have made the turn, and we are starting towards the home stretch.
I’m not sure if I can get close to that number today, as I have a couple of items going on, but if I can at least do 1,100 words today, then I will be happy. Or perhaps, being that the book will need an extensive review, perhaps I will edit what I have written so far. I’m setting a target goal of next Tuesday for the new spanking book, because I think Saturday is a bit unrealistic. I’ll give it the good old college try, though.
As I have mentioned recently, if I am in the middle of writing a spanking storybook, then that means you will get more daily updates from me. Okay, this one is a bit ‘spammy,’ but a brother has got to make a buck. đŸ˜‰
I love the little girl talk( I absolutely love otk over panties more than a caning story) Sorry that your British stories did not sell as planned and I do wonder about that as I found the book quite enjoyable. I do hope changing the photo does bring you extra income , and hoping your next book does well. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.

It’s fine. At the end of the day the book will still earn drips and drabs, and eventually it would have been worth it. But compared to the other books it was dreadfully slow. The new book is well under way now, I managed to write 3,600 words today to bring it to 15,500 words, and what I am going to do now is edit and review what I have written so far. It’s something that I have to do anyway, so why not take a break from the writing and actually edit the thing. It will almost certainly be ready by Saturday at this rate.
