Finding new spanking pics is becoming harder as the years go on. Many of us who have spent years unearthing images are getting to the point where new additions are increasingly more difficult to locate.
With that said, can you imagine my excitement when I unearth a gem that I believe hasn’t been discovered before?
It doesn’t mean someone in the spanking community, possibly a non-blogger, may have seen a copy of this image, but I can’t find it on any spanking-related site.
My image for today goes all the way back to the 1961 TV show, “Bronco.” The spanking scene is related to the specific episode, ‘The Buckbrier Trail.’ In this promotional image Ty Hardin is spanking Sandra Gale Bettin.
Does this mean that there was a spanking in the episode? My guess would be that there isn’t. If there had been, I would have thought that one of the older video compilers in the pre-Internet days would have found it by now.
However, it is difficult to find any full episodes online, so who knows? Maybe this image will turn up a great spanking scene!

Absolutely fantastic. I remember the show and there were a couple of episodes that I thought there might be a spanking I remember one with Anne Helm and I really thought she was going to get spanked. I remember it because I thought her outfit was truly spankable. You also have remember that I was only 8 years old and had already decided on spankable and also thought the way her role was portrayed that the character would get a spanking. I am always hesitant to say with certainty that it is an unknown picture, because there is always likely to be someone who doesn’t use the Internet who may have seen it before. Then in a few weeks time people will have claimed to have found it “Independently,” Lol. So, while I have it all alone I will remark on how wonderful a find it is. Not only a great find but a great copy of it as well. I did have to lighten the image a bit, but for the most part it is untouched.

I think that I read somewhere that it was originally broadcast on the BBC, but that was before my time so I don’t know for sure.

I got a hold of this episode (let’s say, outside of regular means) and it does not contain a spanking scene. I will try to describe the “vibe” at the end of the episode:
I did not watch the rest of the episode, nor am I familiar with the any of the characters.
There is some sort of confrontation about hidden gold where the young woman confronts a bunch of men (including the main character) holding a revolver. She is quickly disarmed by her father who tells her:
Father: “I’m getting a little sick of your disobedience, young lady. Now give me that gun!”
* he takes the gun from her*
Young woman: “What’s gotten into you, anyway, dad?
F: “A little common sense, that’s all. And when we get back to the ranch, I’m gonna teach you to have a little respect for authority, and do you know how I’m gonna teach ya?”
*F holds up his hand*
F: “I’m gonna teach you with THAT right there”
* F looks worried and swallows*
YW: “But I’m too old to be spanked!”
F: “Maybe, but I’m a little late getting started.”
Then a little later Bronco addresses the young woman:
Bronco: “Well, young lady, you be sure and take care now.
[some more dialogue]
B: “Now you quit that pouting. I gotta feeling that spanking is gonna hurt your paw more than its gonna hurt you!”
YW: “I don’t believe you.”
B: “You know something”
*grins*
B: “Neither do I.”

You are a better man than me. I know where it is, but I can’t get to it, lol. Thank you for this detailed description as to the type of scenario that played out. I’m assuming it isn’t word for word, but we get the gist of it. There are some people out there who love every little detail about scenes, so hopefully your summary will help them out.
Naturally I want to see the scene to get the vibe, but the picture is more important to me.

It is word for word, actually! I transcribed it very carefully as any serious spanko scholar should ;). The dialogue sure is interesting and cute and funny to hear for our kind, but I think you’re right to say that the picture is better!
I also find it interesting that in those days they’d use this kind of promotional images as a way to be “sexy” without actually showing anything too scandalous!

Fine work, both of you (Richard and Marcel). It makes you wonder whose idea that spanking picture was, and what it was used for, if anything. Sometimes special shoots were done for TV network executives, who were the ones buying these shows from the producers after all. I think everyone can guess what I mean by “special shoots” – it was typically R-rated stuff (think “topless”) with raunchy dialogue. I have seen one of these things and read about others, although they were short scenes and not stills, but who knows? Maybe some stills were done, and of course as well know spanking stills were often turned out by Hollywood publicity men with no actual spanking to be found in the relevant movie.
