At the moment I am building individual pages for each of my eleven books. When it comes to promoting the books, Amazon has a 10% rule.
Many years ago I often wondered why the author Rollin’ Hand shared his stories the way that he did, and now I know the answer to that. He was only allowed to share the first 10% of each book as part of his agreement with Amazon. I now have that same agreement.
There is only one problem with this, and that is the first 10% of my books rarely describe any spanking action. When I write a story, it generally requires a lengthy buildup to the action.
So what I will do each time I build a new page, I will make a post including the first 10% of each book. If you don’t want to read the ‘teaser,’ and trust me, they will all be one frustrating tease after the other, then I will make sure to add a spanking pic before the story. That way, if you only come here for the spanking pics, then you will still get your regular dose of spanking images. đŸ˜‰

I think you do a great job here capturing the pure fun of her curiosity, and I have to say, “Detective Susie was going to get to the bottom of this malarkey” is a brilliant line!
The story I’m currently working on is another ‘curiosity’ style scenario, I suppose a bit like Beaconsfield’s Bloomers in that regard. And funnily enough it also features a half-slip at one point. Love the pic by the way!! You really don’t see enough slips… err, so to speak! LOL

This was a story that I very much enjoyed writing, and the complete story came out just as I hoped it would. That doesn’t always happen, as I am sure you know already. Many times I have a great idea in my head, but it doesn’t always translate well in writing. Even though I have multiple stories already started, I am going to shelve those for now so that I can write a Christmas book. Have you given publishing eBooks any further thought?
Over on the Library of Spanking Fiction, I added to a thread yesterday (The hint of underthings) about slips and spanking. BTW, when I grew up they were always called petticoats, but I guess in the 30+ years that I have been gone, ‘Slips’ is the more common word usage nowadays, so I have read. I look forward to your next story!
In my favorite spanking movie that I mentioned, Tony and Eve – A college spanking, there are two bum scorchers given over slips in the movie. In the middle spanking there is also an unusual scenario. Eve is wearing two pairs of panties, assuming that we consider the diaphanous hidden pair as an actual pair. Skimpy would be kind in the description department. In all the years that I spoke to both Tony and Eve, I never did ask them why that was. I’m assuming it was for one of two reasons. It was either aesthetic, or it was simply extra padding for the warm up! I’m doubting the latter, though, because Eve was often spanked fairly hard from the get go.

A Christmas story sounds like fun – so many opportunities for being naughty and nice… and handling stockings! LOL. I haven’t gone any further with ebooks, mainly unsure if I’d then feel more pressure? I’m not sure. I think a lot of my stories are pretty good, so I don’t really know – and maybe I should try.
I don’t think I’m able to sign up for the Library of Spanking Fiction unfortunately – apparently they have some issue with VPNs? (I wonder if they’ve noticed the state of the modern internet, if they find basic caution to be surprising.)
And, I’m not certain if this is true, but I always thought of petticoats adding volume, whereas a slip lies flat?
My last couple of stories have also ended up being a bit long (for me!) around 5000+ words, and I do want to try a couple of shorter scenarios. Once my current round of proof-reading is complete I have an idea involving an artist’s model…

I can understand your thoughts on feeling pressure. After six months I felt a little burnt out, but then again, I churned out 11 eBooks in that time, with most of them being between 25,000 – 33,000 words. A lot of people might not understand just how long it takes to write, and we spend just as long editing the stories, lol.
The VPN issue is something that I wasn’t aware of on LSF. I even took a look but I couldn’t find any documentation, but obviously it happens because of your experience. Perhaps it has something to do with their business model. After all, they have over a thousand spanking eBooks if I’m not mistaken. It makes my 11 eBooks pale in comparison.
What I like is that they have a wide variety of stories. What I don’t like is that they have a feature where anyone using the forum can track what someone else is reading by the minute. It has a touch of Big Brother about it to me. Several times I have been reading a story, and I get a pop-up along the lines of… “I see you are currently reading my story.” It wouldn’t be polite to repeat the words I say whenever that happens, lol.
The only problem with writing eBooks is that you are restricted in what you can share. As you would have seen on my site, you can only share the first 10% of a book otherwise your submission to Amazon will likely be blocked.
