Perhaps I did, certainly when it comes in relation to spanking pics. The $30 plus that I paid yesterday because I saw some potential pics, well, as you can see, the quality of them is dreadful. Not to worry though, there are many newspaper articles which are decent, and the odd cartoon as shown below, but as for the pics the quality is awful. I may get to save a handful of decent ones to add to the Wednesday classics, but the rest of them I will just add as a bonus to posts as they really aren’t that good other than for historical reference.
By the way, last week I managed to correctly tag most posts. I still have a few revisions planned but the tags are now a little clearer. The “Blondie” cartoon reminds me of a “Blondie” movie from the 1940s I saw on TV in the 1970s. (The comic strip was serialized into several movies that were each about an hour long.)
The plot of this particular “Blondie” movie involved a spoiled rich teenage girl. Alexander, Blondie and Dagwood’s teenage son, goes to high school with the girl and has a crush on her, but she’s very mean to him.
Realizing the error of her ways, the film concludes by the girl visiting the Bumsted house apologize to the whole family for being mean to Alexander. Tragically motherless, the girl confesses to Blondie that her Daddy’s always telling her she’d be better behaved if only she had a mother to soundly spank her bottom when she acts up.
Blondie pulls a hairbrush from her purse and announces that she can remedy the situation. She marches the girl into the other room and we soon hear the “smack, smack, smack” sound of hairbrush supposedly spanking bottom as the camera shows the winces on the faces of Alexander and Bumsted daughter Cookie.
The girl returns to the living room with a sheepish smile on her face. Dagwood kindly invites her to stay for dinner. The girl accepts the invitation with the proviso that she’ll need a pillow to sit on. The whole family chuckles in sympathy as “The End” flashes on the screen.
I was about 13 and just realizing I had a spanking fetish when I happened to see the movie on Saturday afternoon TV in the 1970s. Played the scene in my mind over and over again in the years to come.
No opinion as to whether you overpaid for the Blondie cartoon and the other pic but do think you have a great collection of vintage spanking pics and appreciate your posting them. Keep up the good work!
