The Deviance of Art!

As you all know by now, I have been posting my artistic renditions of spanking photos over on DEVIANT ART. In fact, I have posted something new there every single day for the last month.

This is where I run into a dilemma, though. Over on DeviantArt, each of my renderings are getting thousands of views, and each picture is also getting commented on. Basically the parameters are there that give me plenty of positive encouragement, which, in turn, gives me the desire to want to create even more. I already have 60 new pieces stored for the next two months.

This has been my favorite piece so far, though I forget which movie it is from. When I say favorite piece, it is my personal favorite. it is not my most viewed by any means. The views on this one are pretty Joe Average, but I just love the look on her face.

What is the dilemma, though?

It’s quite simple really. I’m already aware that other Blogger’s, Tumbler’s, X’ers, you name it, they often raid DeviantArt to post the spanking art on their blogs, etc. Obviously I don’t give too much of a fudge about that, BUT, if anyone is going to be putting my artistic renderings onto a blog, then I should be putting my own creations on my own blog.

I’m not sure how to do it yet. What I am likely to do is post the occasional batch as a normal post on this blog, but what I might do is either a weekly post showing all art pieces from that week (likeliest avenue,) or I could build a separate page for them.

The latter option would be a bit cumbersome because the page would become massive, so I think a weekly roundup either here, or over on my backup blog is the way to go.

It’s a cold hard fact, if I am getting the views and feedback over on DeviantArt, I’m going to want to keep doing it. The interaction is quite pleasing.

Here is the image that I created for yesterday over on my DEVIANTART PROFILE. An artistic rendering of Mark Stevens spanking June Haver. The lobby card of this picture has always been a personal favorite.

  1. Fabulous – as always – and they both feel like an authentic/clean illustration style. The young lady’s rather pensive look in the first image is priceless! 😉

The idea of a weekly roundup sounds great. There’s already so many different places to check. I think I’m increasingly nostalgic for the days of “real” blogs! (Like this one. I’d happily live without all the social media and it various derivatives.)

  2. J,

That is why I love that picture so much, even the original. While the original isn’t as pronounced as this one is, the eyes still told the story. I think what I will do is alternate where I post the weekly summary. One week post on it on this blog and then the alternate week on the backup blog. To be honest, and you probably know this already, but I ditched practically all social media.

BTW, have you looked at Google Gemini as a source for your spanking book covers? It is quite open and friendly when it comes to respectful talking about spanking, and I am pretty sure that it would spit out a half decent vanilla with sprinkles book cover. I upload one of my rare find spanking pics and asked them to tell me about an historical artifact in the picture, and once it described the item, it asked me if I wanted it to create a holiday brochure for this picture. It was hysterical and I will share it later this week.

As long as you are respectful, it can be quite helpful regarding spanking content. Basically speak to it like an adult and it responds in kind.

  3. Very nice pulp/pinup artwork I am very much a fan of I think he’s called Evergreen an artist specialising in the 50s style. I’m sure everybody has seen one of these images was Gemini used to create the pictures above? I found a cracking piece of AI software which works wonders on the images. I did send you an email. I’m not sure if you’ve got it or not.
Keep up the good work, regards John

  4. Knowing that the images come from your blog is great and I do enjoy looking at the originals although I have to admit because it is so large that I get distracted and I do look forward to you sharing the original again. I enjoy all the ones you have used so far. Thanks for sharing a new process and I hope you continue to have fun with it. Enjoy your day.

  5. John,

I will check my email after I have responded to messages. I’m very careful with Gemini. While it will accept softcore spanking pics, you have to use it under a different premise. For example, I told Gemini that I had a picture of two women frolicking, but what I wanted to know was what the vintage item was that they were sitting on. Gemini replied in great detail, even describing the vintage clothing the women were wearing, and then asked me if I wanted a postcard-style holiday brochure from the pic. Yes, Google Gemini actually rendered a piece of spanking art for me.

Try it out! You have to speak to it like an adult, but it accepts spanking talk. For example, you could share a vintage spanking pic and ask why was this type of behavior accepted in the past. As long as you are keeping the subjects fully clothed, you can engage in spanking talk with the program. Oftentimes I will post a batch of vintage vanilla pics from my personal collection, and I will slip a spanking one amongst them. Then I will ask Gemini to describe each one. Once you get over the first hurdle, and it isn’t even much of a hurdle, then you are good to go.

One time I even told the program that I had writer’s block for a scene that I was writing for the adult spanking community, and after a little back and forth, Gemini wrote the scene for me without issue.

  6. Jim,

Virtually everything that I am creating has been posted on my blog before. There are some thumbnail-sized images that I am trying to bring to life, images that will never be seen on this blog, but everything else is already on the blog. I’ll be honest, only on occasion will I share the original piece because I want to highlight the new creation independently. I’m sure some people are already bristling at what I am doing, there is no need to stoke their fire where they can constantly repeat how much better the original is.
