Streetcar Sundays – 87

So tomorrow I leave for England for my brother’s funeral,  it is going to be a really tough trip I have no doubt. The most stressful part is that I am the last remaining member of the family,  and I have roughly three spare days to make decisions of the family belongings. There isn’t much I wouldn’t think,  and I can bring back all the old photos and maybe trinkets like rings,  heirlooms etc,  but most everything in my brother’s house I am going to have to give away on the fly. And that will be it,  when I return to America,  whatever I have will be the sum total of the family possessions. It’s a bit depressing really. I’ve decided to read the eulogy at my brother’s funeral,  it’s going to suck but I have to do it,  he was really important to me.

Anyway,  during my absence I will pre-post a weeks worth of updates for you in advance,  which you can see in the photo below. All interview segments are finished now so I will start to upload them.

As I have a few posts to make I won’t waste any time. This weeks MEN ARE LIKE STREETCARS spanking photo is from Battlecreek,  MI in 1951. What I like about this one is that it is obviously a rehearsal,  but I wonder if it is a script he is holding,  or that famous  “Child Psychology”  book depicted in that Norman Rockwell image?
