When I started selling eBooks, one thing became apparent pretty early on. The USA accounts for a significant portion of all books sales and Kindle Unlimited reads. Percentage wise, the USA can account from anywhere between 66% of sales and reads, all the way up to 80% plus per book. The USA dominates my account.
As a YouTuber, I should have known better, because there is one book in particular that failed miserably in the USA. That book is this one, BRITISH SPANKING – FOUR SHORT STORIES.

Why should I have known better? Because I never should have put British in the title of the book. USA sales/reads of this book are at a staggeringly low number of 35%. It is the only book in my archive where it sells better in the UK than it does in the USA. That is solely because I alienated American readers but putting British in the title.
It is a damn shame because the third story in the book is one of my personal favorites. It is called “STICKY FINGERS.”
Alison is 25 years old, but she possesses a school uniform from the neighboring village. She uses this uniform in a covert manner to visit that very village, where some naughty behavior awaits her. What is it that she is going there for? Every Wednesday one of the villagers, Mr. Perkins, bakes some pies and leaves them under his window to cool off when he goes off to his part-time job. Dressed as a schoolgirl, Alison takes advantage of this for some sticky treats. Unfortunately for her, things don’t go her way, and she is soon feeling the harsh leather belt of Mr. Perkins.
Obviously I’m not going to continuously spam my spanking eBooks, but every now and then I might give one of them a nudge to see if I can get a few more readers to download it for free on their Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Aside from the 4th story, which is just a rewriting of a previously published story of mine, the other three stories I really enjoyed writing.
Now it isn’t the worst book for sales/reads. That distinction falls to another of my books and it brings up the rear, so to speak, by an awfully long way. I tried writing an F/M spanking eBook, and that tanked faster than a pork pie at a Jewish wedding. You can check that eBook out here… BEST FRIENDS – F/M SPANKINGS.
Always surprised me on that one as spanking is supposed to be TH ENGLISH VICE and I usually read many English stories ( although I am not that interested in caning stories or slippering stories) thus might be the reluctance but I can’t say that is the reason.anyway I did enjoy your book so you did get a buy just because it is one of your books . I’m the same as you, I have no affinity towards stories that involve caning. There may be an occasion where I will write about a plimsoll, but it is exceedingly rare. My way of thinking very much aligns with the ‘American’ style.

I’m currently working on an F/M story too. An English exchange student who volunteers before he starts university… but, it’s set in an American summer camp. I wonder if the location might help to balance out any lower appeal of the theme? I’m joking really. I’m only writing stories that appeal to me, so anything else is a bonus. 🙂
(But- I’ll be sure not to put “British” in the title now! LOL)

I look forward to reading it! I’m also a third of the way with my new book which is also the tale of a British girl staying with her extended family in Texas. The summer camp stories are always a fun one, though my ‘Jane’s Summer Spankings,’ which is solely a summer camp spanking eBook didn’t do very well either. The exchange student stories are something that I very much enjoy.

I think it’ll be the new year (certainly after Christmas) when my new story is ready. I did consider whether setting it further south might be ‘better’, giving more plausibility to the spanking scene. But I’d also wanted include some cheeky valley-girl slang – and bikinis!! 😉
Did you catch my last story? “His Method In Her Madness”. It’s another stage/theatre scenario, and your photos are always great for inspiration – and, in part, was what prompted the inclusion of a local newspaper photographer… I’ll say no more! LOL

As of yet I haven’t read your latest story. I did see it, but to be honest I had forgotten about it until you just reminded me. Perhaps that story will be a Christmas present to myself this year on Christmas morning. 🙂 It is that old saying, isn’t it? A picture is worth a thousand words!!
