I’m not sure why, but this image conjures up a thought of a landlady spanking her lodger. Late with the rent, no worries, one swat for every dollar you are short. Last month it was over the skirt, this month it is over the silky panties. You know what that means if you are late next month, right?
I’m pretty certain this is an old Janus family photo, just in case Captain Pedantic is watching and they want to wag their self righteous finger 🙂 My thoughts are simply that, an interpretation of what we are seeing.
This brings up an interesting thought. For the image I deliberately avoided the subject of getting drunk. Lord knows why, I simply cannot read a story that involves someone getting drunk. Now don’t get me wrong, I have been to many a party where drink and play have taken place and indeed I was a very active participant, lol, so I have no aversion to drinking and play. For some reason though, I simply don’t like stories that revolve around people being spanked for drinking.
One time I received a message on a forum chastising me for clicking off of a story too quickly. Yes, big brother was apparently watching. When I stated that I didn’t like the premise of the story, I was further chastised that I couldn’t possibly know if I would like the story or not within a few seconds.
Well here’s the thing, I am very particular about what I read. If a story begins “The year was 1846”, bang, I’m gone. I can’t relate to period stories and I have no desire to relate to them. If the story started “It was 1953” then yes, I would have been all over it like white on rice.
Likewise, if the story is set in 2184 in the land of Zog, guaranteed that will be the only line that I read in the story, lol. I wonder if you guys have turn offs in spanking stories?
That brings up another thought. I tend to write stories that are on the lower end of the discipline format, and most of them revolve around spanking over some form of clothing, a personal favorite of mine. Yet every time there is always someone who will say “It has to be bare bottom or nothing, that is the ONLY way to give a spanking”. Given that I have provided criteria above as to what I don’t like in a spanking story, why is it that I wouldn’t dream of commenting on someone’s story and telling them that my interpretation of spanking is the only way it should be done. Yet the bare bottom crowd feel the need to announce it in every story where it doesn’t happen 🙂
Anyway, just trying to get back in the swing of things after having taken a break.

I think “the always spank bare” community are more into the humiliation of being bared and exposed as much as the spanking itself and as for the safety concern group, if you are going to spank severely, you need the eye test to see the levels of damage you wish to attain or avoid!
Your stories tend to deal with real-life situations, birthday spankings, etc. so the chance of “damage” does not apply.
I agree, in photos, a dressed woman getting spanked is probably preferable to bare, it gives it a realistic vibe even if posed. In the fictional world, though it seems more realistic, it is not as exciting. Bare does pose all kinds of problems, however, not to mention going to jail in the story!
In writing, let’s face it, it’s like the cartoons. An anvil lands on the head, flattens it to a piece of paper, and then the head bounces back to normal. No real damage, so fiction does the same for spankings. A fictional spanking can be in front of thousands of people, last two days, and all that happens is said spankee sits on a pillow for breakfast for one meal and not one person ever comes to their rescue or calls the cops and/or child’s services.
I would guess with your experiences in life, the cartoon aspect of the written spanking has lost all allure for you. By that, I mean the fictional aspect. You have actually spanked the bottoms of some very well-known people and models you lucky dog! You know the good, the bad, and the ugly of that reality.
You color your views with both the positive and negative realities that we in the fictional world can only imagine. So, to the novice or virgin to real world spankings, your view may seem jaded or at least skewed, when in fact it is just that, reality.
That said, this spanking community of ours is the WORST when it comes to dictating what is and is NOT allowed in all aspects of spanking, especially fiction. Heck, I once told a true story relayed to me by the spanked person herself, who has a picture of her spanked butt on her bedroom wall, taken by her father, after a belt spanking for smoking in the house at 18. Now the house had oxygen (smoking is forbidden). Mom and dad were both dying from cancer from smoking, and there were several previous warnings and punishments. This story was relayed to me because I had a bumper sticker that I made saying “Spank you for smoking!”. She obviously loved her father for what he did, as she still had the photo on her wall, and she teared up re-telling the tale some ten years later. The people of this spanking group came out with pitchforks and torches to go destroy the monster who had taken a picture of his daughter’s spanked behind, oblivious to the warm intent of the story. I felt attacked as if I had done something wrong telling the story at all! My message was completely lost in the moral outrage of the thought and action police. I left that group.
Hey, I have a distaste for Stephen King novels because he attacks the clergy. They are always the first to fail or sin in his books, at least that’s what I formed in my mind in the early days of reading his works. He is one of the greatest and most popular writers of our day. Do I have to like his work? No, but I still appreciate his talent. I like positive books where the Devil gets sent back to hell and all goes back to good again. I’m a dreamer. That said, I would not ever attack his works. They are one man’s views of a wicked reality that he creates. It is fiction, and people often forget that. So goes the “bare-bottom” brigade and the consensual spanking thought police. “She kept on her panties and slacks during her spanking, Oh my”, or, “She was bare against her will, Oh my!”! So, sue me! You write it and show me how it should have been done, like the edited version of a movie. Then we’ll have way more stories to read!

Also, I call “Balderdash” on your view about a historic spanking piece. If you ran into the spanking story of a man named Thaw, spanking a flapper in the 20’s in a very famous NY building, I think that not only would you eagerly read that story, but you’d also probably make a video of that building for its’ historic value!

As for the straight to the bare sentiment.
I appreciate the nuances of spanking writers.
If that means straight to the bare, eventually on the bare or panties staying up.
The devil is in the details and you are a master at detail, bare bottomed or pantied.
Your writing always hits the right “feels”.
Case in point, Jane’s Birthday Spanking.
I have pointed out many times that this is my favorite spanking story EVER.
Jane’s panties remain raised throughout.
You have knack for playful yet teasing embarrassment of a girl having her skirt flipped up for a blush inducing panty spanking.
Even in Her Best Friend’s Dad, where a spanking on the bare occurs, it only occurs after a lengthy setup involving 2 previous spankings and the future threat of a baring.
Had you gone straight to the bare, there would be no natural progression to the eventual inevitability.
Either way, everyone is a critic and you can’t please everyone,

I gave up trying to please everyone many years ago, and the older I get the more I accept who I am and not what people expect from me. For many years I was an active member of the community so I met many requests that were out of my comfort zone, but I am happy that I did them. I’m now back to where I started and what I like 🙂 At my age now there will be times where I take extended breaks from the blog, and the truth is I just don’t have the spark anymore. What was something that I used to think about every hour of every day, I now only think of it maybe once or twice a week.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t miss it. When you go through changes mentally you accept what you are dealt. How can I miss something that I barely think about anymore? Back in the 1980s I used to watch a lot of baseball and basketball, but outside of March Madness I have no interest in either sport whatsoever anymore. I always had my own little corner of the spanking world, and that corner is significantly smaller now that I am 61 🙂
