It is that time of year again. Time to add one more number onto my ever-increasing age. Can you believe that I started this blog when I was 43 years old? That’s crazy man!
Over on DEVIANTART this week I have been posting a daily white panties spanking pic in honor of my birthday. These were all added to my WHITE PANTIES SPANKING CLUB folder, which itself is a tribute to Wulfram who originally came up with that concept.
Today I am going to be selfish. If you follow me on DeviantArt then nothing here is going to be new for you. My first one was a 7k short story Birching Bordello, a stepping stone to self publishing, so to speak. This one, Uncle Ar, the disciplinarian, is a 17k novelette. BTW, it’s dedicated to Devlin O’Neill, you probably knew him well.
Both are plot-heavy, so I’m thinking it’s more of a spanking romance than erotica. Enough with self-promo haha. If you want to take it offline, you have my email. It’s also on my blog, under the croissant.

I had a look at your sample page, and it looks like you have the formatting down perfectly. That is a stumbling block that a lot of authors suffer. It looks daunting, and yes, it isn’t easy at first, but pretty much anyone can learn how to do it fairly easily.
The only advice that I would give would be to never put an age range on the eBook. If you put 18+, then the book will be buried in the Amazon dungeon, and that is not a fun place to be. My style might be a little different to yours so I’m not really in the position to offer that much advice. All of my eBooks are softcore that focus solely on the spanking. I haven’t uploaded any erotica per se, so non of my eBooks get put into any erotica category.
One thing that I learned, and it might not apply to you just yet, but any front matter aside than the book title, and the table of contents, I put at the back of the book. About the Author page, copyright page, eBook description, other books, etc. I put the lot at the back of the eBook because Kindle readers aren’t interested in those pages. Those pages puff out the word count, and if you put them at the back of the book, it means that readers will get a bigger “Read sample” to entice them into buying.
