Just recently I released my 15th spanking eBook, and the 16th eBook is a little more than two weeks away. The new eBook is titled “Suzette Comes to America”
Allow me to share the writing process for you.
The new eBook is 26,000 words long. If you can imagine the process taking 1 hour for every thousand words written, which includes revising what I have completed each day, then the baseline timeframe is 26 hours that I spent writing the book.
The first 26 hours isn’t the final number. Once I have written the eBook, I then have to revise and edit the entire book, which takes several more hours, and then I have to read the whole story for any last-minute changes. The formatting only takes about an hour, so that part isn’t too bad.
All in all, I would estimate I spent around 32 hours of man-time writing the new book. That amount of time doesn’t sound too bad on the face of it, but when you consider that I can usually spare an hour a day writing, you can understand how long the eBook takes to write.
When I am able to put some extra grind in, I can normally get a new eBook out in 30 days remembering, of course, that the writing has to be of high standard in order to sell the stories.
If you want to read the eBook you can do so by clicking on the book cover below. Also, if you are a Kindle Unlimited member then you can read the book for free by using the provided links.

The term “Discovering Spanking” relates to the process where an adult who has never been spanked before is suddenly introduced to the concept of discipline.
This introduction can take many forms, and it often comes about through casual conversation and exploration. Many times it can come in the form of a birthday spanking, which evolves into something more serious.
The story in this eBook is a companion to the series of short stories that I compiled into four volumes called “Discovering Spanking.”
This time I present the story as a single novella. We follow the journey of Suzette, an English woman who travels to America to stay with her extended family. She discovers spanking through the conversations of her cousins and their friends, and it isn’t long before she, too, has tangible memories to share in the future.
There has long been a saying that one is never too old for a spanking. In Texas, that saying holds especially true.
The “Discovering Spanking” universe is expanding from short stories into a themed collection of novellas. Each novella will be a companion book to the main series, and each story will have new characters for you to enjoy and follow.
Many people discover spanking later in their lives. It could be through accountability or curiosity. Once bitten, however, it is like a stimulant that you want more and more of.
Chapter 1: Coming to America
It was the trip of a lifetime for Suzette; she was heading to America to spend the summer with her aunt and her family. Her Aunt Nancy had left England 26 years ago, and while she would see her numerous times over the years, the older that she got, the less frequent the visits became.
When she was very young, Suzette had met her two cousins and her aunt’s American husband, but, in reality, she barely knew them. They were, of course, all friends on social media, but even then the interactions were sparse. One of her cousins, Maggie, was the same age as her, while her other cousin, Fiona, was approaching 21 years old.
Suzette’s excitement level was through the roof. She would spend twelve whole weeks in the Texas Wilderness, a new adventure for a young woman who had never once left her home country before, and this trip would also be the first time that she would spend her birthday away from her immediate family.
During the initial arrangements for this trip, Aunt Nancy had shared some details that were vitally important for Suzette. Firstly, they led a Christian lifestyle, and therefore Suzette would be required to attend Sunday church with them. Even if she wasn’t a religious person herself, Aunt Nancy had informed her niece that Sundays were considered a big community event. It was more about being good neighbors than it was about the religious service, though Suzette would be required to show respect as a representative of the family during the church gathering. The other important requirement that Suzette needed to know was the drinking age in America. While it was 18 in the UK, the drinking age was 21 in America. Not that the Murphy family imbibed alcohol at any time, but it was important for their new visitor to know.
Aside from some minor cultural differences, though, the main purpose of this visit for Suzette was to become closer to her extended family while also learning about the American way of life, specifically the Texan way of life. While Suzette may have had a broad understanding of America, she was not aware of regional differences compared to what she may have seen on television and in movies up until that point.
The day of departure had finally arrived, and Suzette stood in the airport with her mom, ready for the ten-hour flight. She had two suitcases with her, one filled with her clothes and the other filled with items for her extended family that her mother was sending. Suzette was able to pad that second bag with extra items of her own, but the main purpose of the second bag was for the items she would buy in Texas, plus any gifts that her American relatives were sending back to the UK.
It’s not that Suzette would go short in any area, because she was staying with family. If, by chance, she didn’t have something that she needed, her two cousins would willingly share their belongings with her. She had not a worry in the world, and while she had taken more than her fair share of personal finances with her, she would also learn one important aspect of Texas family life. Suzette was going to be a guest in the Murphy household, and she would be treated accordingly by her aunt’s family with generous hospitality.
When the flight arrived in Dallas, the young Englishwoman was mesmerized. Her extended family greeted her with warm hugs and embraces, something that she wasn’t really used to coming from England, and when she left the airport for the 30-minute drive, her eyes were as wide as saucers. 12-lane highways, store signs as big as houses, and cars the size of small buses—it was all too much to take in. Virtually everything she saw was simply electrifying. Even though she had arrived from England, there was a saying that she had often heard, and that was that everything in Texas was big, even more so than the average American state. Upon first sight, Suzette believed it. To her, everything seemed positively huge, and she was mesmerized by what her eyes could see.
Once the 30-minute drive to her summer home had been completed, the visual feast didn’t stop there. Compared to her humble upbringing, the house that Suzette was going to be staying in was huge. It was overwhelming if the truth be told, and once they pulled up to the home, her extended family treated her like royalty. Naturally she went to the rear of the SUV to grab her bags, but she wasn’t allowed to. Once the trunk had been opened, Uncle Frank directed his daughters to grab a suitcase each, and Suzette even got a little thrill when each daughter replied, “Yes, Papa.” It was like she was a living part of an old western novel. Suzette even joked to herself, wondering if they all shouted goodnight to each other just like she had seen in the TV show The Walton’s.
During her summer stay with her extended family, Suzette was going to be sharing a room, and indeed a bed, with her cousin, Maggie. Prior to her arrival, Aunt Nancy had prepared a dresser for her to store her clothing for the summer. There was even a small section for her to use in the closet, should it be required.
It had been expected that on the first night things would be a little different than the rest of her stay. Because Suzette was likely to be suffering from jet lag, Aunt Nancy had made emergency preparations in anticipation. Suzette was sharing a room with Maggie; it would be unfair on her cousin if Suzette woke up at 3am as sharp as a tack, so Aunt Nancy explained to Suzette what she could do.
The basement of the house was normally a place reserved for Frank. It wasn’t quite a den that one would associate with a guy, but it did have some of those amenities. If it came to a point that Suzette rose early, then she could go to the den, where there was a large TV, a fridge, and most importantly, a futon to lie on.
Aunt Nancy had fully anticipated this possibility, and she had chosen the basement for a reason. She expected Suzette to have trouble sleeping, and by setting up a place for her in the den, she assumed that Suzette would go there, fall asleep at some ungodly hour, and likely sleep like a baby until noon. By being in the basement, the rest of the family could go about their daily routine without disturbing their visiting relative, and Suzette could sleep and acclimatize to her new environment in her own time. The jet lag wouldn’t last long, so it was a welcome addition to have an extra place for her to stay during that period.
That night, Aunt Nancy’s prophecy came to fruition. Suzette did indeed wake up in the early hours, and she was bright-eyed as she sat in the den watching infomercials until the time came when she passed out on the futon with the television still running. In the morning Aunt Nancy went to check on her, and Suzette was sound asleep, dead to the world.
It only took a couple of days for Suzette to acclimatize to her new environment, and soon after she was going on daily trips exploring the wonderful aspects of Texas culture. Practically everything was new to the guest from England; it was a sensory overload for her. At nighttime her adrenalin was still high, even when she retired to the room that she now shared with Maggie.
Being new, there were a few things that her uncle and aunt let slide, but there needed to be a point where they set the ground rules. It was at the end of the first week when she got her first indication that things on the surface might not be all that they seemed to be. On the night in question, Suzette was in a particularly excitable mood, and once she was in the room with Maggie, she was having the time of her life with her cousin. It was around 11pm when a knock came on the door.
Maggie already knew who this was, and she weakly muttered “come in” to the guest knocking on her door. Suzette was already up and bouncing around the room when the door opened; it was Uncle Frank, and he had a rather unfriendly look on his face.
Allowing for the fact that Suzette was still learning about family life in Texas, he allowed her a little grace, but he did say what was on his mind.
“Girls,” Uncle Frank began. “I have to get up early in the morning for work, so please keep the noise down; it is very late.”
It almost seemed sassy when Suzette replied, “Sure thing, Uncle Frank.”
The door closed as an irate Frank left the room, and Maggie then set about trying to calm her cousin down, but she wasn’t as successful as she had hoped. Despite her best efforts, only 15 minutes had passed when another knock on the door came, but this time it was knocked at the same time it was being opened. Suzette was about to see another side of Uncle Frank.
“I’ve told you once,” Frank said, “and I won’t tell you again. Suzette, get yourself into bed right now. If I have to come back a third time, neither of you will like it, so knock it off.”
This time the door closed rather loudly, and an open-mouthed Suzette looked at Maggie as she climbed into bed.
“What’s up with him?” Suzette asked,
A rather meek-looking Maggie whispered her reply. “Shush, you’ve got to be quiet. If he comes back a third time, he will whip our butts good, and trust me, you don’t want that.”
Suzette assumed that this statement was a metaphor; after all, they were both 19, and obviously she didn’t mean he would actually ‘whip their butts.’
With another sassy comment, Suzette added. “Don’t worry, I will use my English charm on him.”
Maggie poked her. “Be quiet, I’m serious; his belt is no joke. Please don’t push him.”
Because it was late, Suzette decided to drop the subject, but as Uncle Frank would be leaving for work early in the morning, she would leave it until then to press Maggie further with what she had said. Suzette didn’t believe the term ‘whip their butts’ was meant to be a literal term; in fact, she was pretty convinced of it, but she did want to find out what her cousin actually meant by saying it. She deferred the topic and let it drop, not out of fear, but because she was a guest in this house and didn’t want to disturb her uncle’s rest deliberately.
Chapter 2: Family Bonding
It was after 9 am the next morning when the two sleepyheads arose. The first port of call was the kitchen, where they would have a quick breakfast, and then they would return upstairs to get ready for another fun-filled Texas day. It was going to be a special day as well, for it would be the first time that the two sisters and their international cousin would be able to spend the day alone. Fiona was going to drive them to the city limits, where they would take a train into the city itself for an exciting day of exploration in the bustling neighborhoods.
Once breakfast was over, Maggie and Suzette used separate showers to get themselves ready for the day. Once Suzette walked back into the bedroom, Maggie was already getting dressed, and she had some questions for her American cousin, more out of curiosity than anything else.
In a somewhat pensive tone, Suzette asked what was on her mind.
“Last night, Maggie, you made a wisecrack about your dad’s belt. What was up with that?”
It most certainly hadn’t been a wisecrack; Maggie had been serious, and she let Suzette know so.
“I don’t know what it is like where you come from, but if you had kept on making noise last night, he would have come into our room with his belt in hand, and he would have whooped our tails to a point that we would have had to sleep on our tummies.”
Naturally, Suzette didn’t believe her, and she assumed that her American cousin was trying to scare her.
“As if,” Suzette replied, “we’re 19 years old, and I’m soon to be 20; there’s no way he would do that.”
Disbelievingly, Maggie shook her head. “You have no idea about Texas, trust me. As long as we are living under his roof, then we follow his rules, and if we don’t, we have to suffer the consequences. If we are lucky, we just get a spanking, but believe me, he will use his thick leather belt at the drop of a hat. That also goes for Fiona, and she is two years older than us. I don’t have any doubt in my mind that the same rules are going to apply to you as well just as long as you are living with us. Just so that you know, I’d bet you a dime to a dollar that your parents know about this arrangement; otherwise, I don’t think he would have let you live here for the entire summer.”
Suzette was shocked; there was no way that her parents would allow her uncle to spank her, would they? No sooner had she thought about that question, she already had doubts in her mind as to whether her parents would allow that or not. What if they had designated spanking rights to her uncle? I mean, technically, he wasn’t even related to her; it was only by marriage, and he wasn’t exactly a blood relative. Once Maggie had made her speech, Suzette had little left to say. Everything she wanted to cover was running through the deep thoughts in her mind, but she wasn’t totally going to let the subject drop; after all, she would be spending the whole day with her two cousins, and she had questions, like serious questions.
It was 11am, and the three young women were standing in the doorway with Aunt Nancy, with the oldest of the three getting an earbashing about the dos and don’ts concerning the upcoming trip into the big city.
They all waited patiently for her to finish, and once she had done so, the three women headed toward the waiting car.
The drive itself would take about 25 minutes to get to the outskirts of town, where they would be able to board a local train. This way they could leave their car in a cheaper parking lot and not have to worry about its safety in the big bad city. 25 minutes might seem like a long time, but when you have questions on your mind, that time evaporates pretty quickly.
Thankfully for Suzette, she already had an easy segue into the conversation that she wanted to talk about. As the car took off, Suzette was riding shotgun next to Fiona, and while they spoke about the places they were going to visit that day, Suzette was awaiting her opportunity to pounce. That moment came when Maggie mentioned an off-limits place in the city that the girls couldn’t visit. As quick as a flash, Suzette seized upon the opportunity as she looked at Maggie in the back seat.
“Let me guess, if we go there, then your dad will whoop our butts, right?” The disbelieving English cousin said.
The story continues…
