Had to work my magic on this one to make the image at least half decent. In the original you couldn’t even see the paddle, lol.
Now I will be honest, I haven’t actually looked for new pics in months, however, I of course have a bucket load from my years of collecting. With that said though, if you ever want to find pics then you need look no further than Texas to get your fill. That is the first state that I look at for a quick and easy fix, and it is where this image comes from.
You can always count on Texan’s for a good whoopin’ !!

What an excellent find! I once took a cross-country trip with my brother and SIL to move them to Vegas. We stopped at a campsite in Texas and they had a paddle for sale at the camp office. I think it offered a “Texas Butt-buster” on the white paddle. My SIL, a constant complainer, was really getting on my nerves, and I almost bought it to use on her, but thought better on it, as I would have been out of luck, stuck in Texas with no way home, if I ticked off my brother and his probably then 30yo wife. I was probably 25 at the time.
I still kick myself I didn’t buy that paddle and didn’t use it on my SIL. Ah, the ones that got away! Thanks for the memory, Richard!
Jim,
You could have bought it as a gift for your brother, just to leave a seed in his mind, lol. I’ve always liked the idea of those novelty paddle, but owning a couple of them it is clear to see that they are nothing more than a novelty as the wood is super thin. The same goes for the marital paddles that I bought in Hiroshima, they look good, but they would break very quickly I would imagine.
Rich
Remarkably, Rich, this paddle was white pine, a fill 3/4 inch thick and about 14 inches long. It was the real deal and I’ve never seen one like it since. Still kicking myself over letting that one go. It was only ten bucks!
Live and learn.

Jim,
This may sound strange to you, but amongst my collection I have a wooden item that I once saw used for three swats on one of the neighbor girls, and boy did she yelp, lol. It’s about the size of a wooden spoon, but it is flat and the business end is wider that a wooden spoon. I’m guessing it was used as a stirrer of sorts. I’ve never used it because the thing has major wear and tear, as in ground in discoloration, but it is something that I have held onto for over 40 years now. Every time I look at it I can see the mom holding her daughter by the arm and using it 🙂 Like I said, it was only three swats, but even to this day I can remember what they were both wearing.
