It is an important topic for me and I have actually turned play down before where a compromise has been refused. I’m of the opinion that my needs are as important as my play partners so if they flat out refuse to compromise then I see it as a message that my needs are not as important as theirs. Of course, once one takes that stance, it is quite surprising how quickly the compromise is indeed met 🙂
