Streetcar Sundays – 93

Over the next two weeks my posting may be limited,  and even if I do post there is a chance that it could be vanilla. As you are probably aware by now,  on Thursday I leave for Tokyo for a two week vacation. There are a lot of places that I want to visit,  some that are well known and others that are not so. One of the trips that I have planned is to a place called Kamakura,  but there is so much to see there that I might take a second trip. I’m sure at some point I am going to get lost or get on the wrong train or something,  but to me that’s what makes the trip fun.

Anyway,  underneath this weeks photo are two more music videos of a band I am going to see. You might have guessed already,  I’m going to see a lot of live music while I am there. This weeks photo is from 1960 and the town is Muncie,  Indiana. This will be added to my MEN ARE LIKE STREETCARS folder.

Now my final entry regarding the music that I am going to see while in Japan,  and perhaps this is the most important one. Now it isn’t fair to say that this is the reason for the trip,  however I did plan the trip around when these guys are on tour. The girl who is pretty much the lead singer is someone who I have to see,  even if it is with the band and not solo. I firmly believe that this girl is going to be a superstar. Her name is Aina The End and she performs with her band,  BiSH. Here she is doing a solo song.

The band I discovered two years ago and they have gone on to become huge,  basically selling out every concert. Here’s the rub with this though,  I paid $300 for tickets to two shows that they have in Tokyo,  but they are fan club tickets that I bought through a third party,  there’s actually a chance that I won’t even get in if the ticket has a person’s name on them and they require ID. I won’t even get the tickets until I get to Japan so I’m taking risks all around. It’s worth it though,  there are plenty of other gigs I am going to,  I just have to keep my fingers crossed that I can get in at least one of the two shows. Thankfully they are at separate venues.
