Streetcar Sundays – 22

What a difference a week makes!! This time last week I was in a hospital bed on the second of five horrible days in and out of the hospital. I’m not going to lie,  last week I had all but given up on the prospect of going to the Crimson Moon party next week,  it wasn’t something that seemed possible anymore. Here we are,  a week later and I am back at about 80% and each day my chances of going to Crimson Moon increase further to a point that I am almost certain that I can now go.

Now I already know that it can’t be like a normal party for me,  there are certain restrictions that are going to prevent me from doing some things,  but I am still going to have a lot of fun. To start with I can’t lift anything for another two weeks,  I’m not allowed to use my leg or stomach muscles to push up from a prone position,  and my walking has to be slow to medium,  so no chasing brats for me 🙂

Already I feel way better than I did at the beginning of the week and my therapy is succeeding,  I can feel myself getting better each day. The one thing that I can’t do though is think everything is fixed and do something stupid. I know what I have to do and I will continue that therapy at the party. I’m still going to spank some girls,  albeit in a more controlled environment with their cooperation. The exceptional Naughty Freckles has arranged transportation for me from the airport and she is going to see to it that I am able to get to the store to pick up the essential items that I will need for the weekend,  I loves me some Freckles. As I said before,  she is one of the most awesome people in the spanking scene and I truly mean that.

So to get back into the swing of things,  here is a MEN ARE LIKE STREETCARS pic from 1953 and what you will find interesting is that it is a multiracial pic. This is 1953 so this is quite the find considering what America was going through at the time.

If you are new to this site be sure to check out my MEN ARE LIKE STREETCARS FOLDER. Practically everything that I post is new to all but a very small portion of the spanking community. This is something that is a passion to me and I love to share with you my unique and rare finds. With that in mind,  also check out my SITE MAP,  it isn’t just Streetcars pics that I bring to you for the first time,  I have folders upon folders of original material for your enjoyment.

  1. Richard – glad to hear you’re on the mend. Loved the “streetcars” pic also. Now about the interracial question – as a matter of fact, America was making great racial progress from 1930 to 1960, even before the era of Martin Luther King, although in the Deep South there were places that simply refused to advance much beyond 1870 or so. Interracial romance, and I suppose interracial spanking although the subject never really came up as far as I know, was still controversial, but just how much varied by which area of the country we’re talking about. It was, again, only in the Deep South where the idea would have roused anger and violence.

To give a little context about the broader attitudes toward deviant sexuality, 1953 was also the year that homosexuality was mentioned openly for the first time on the stage of the New York theatre (in Tea and Sympathy).

  2. A truly remarkable photo. While the era is often known for its bigotry and hatred among the races this photo proves that there were people who couldn’t care less about the color of one’s skin. As in many cases the races blending well together didn’t make good substance for political rhetoric from any angle.
